I would describe myself as a serious amateur photographer. I received a dslr camera as a Christmas gift 12/07 and have been "hooked" ever since! Favorite photographic subjects are birds and wildlife, only recently have I purchased ND filters and started learning how to make an acceptable landscape image. My wife and I travel a modest amount, always planning our trips around locations to photograph nature and wildlife. I don't try to sell my images, don't submit my images to publications, in the hope of getting them published. There are so many photographers that I feel have more talent and produce better photos. I happily do this for my own enjoyment and give some of my photos away as gifts to friends and family members. For me the pleasure of this hobby is learning and improving my skills and most importantly ..... being outdoors!
